We recently spent three nights in May at a deluxe double valley view room. The accommodations were decent, though we found the absence of a bathtub to be a drawback. The scenery was absolutely stunning, but the proximity of the road below created a constant level of noise throughout the day. This resort is not at all suitable for seniors, as there are numerous steep steps that we had to navigate every day. Some of the steps were alarmingly narrow, which is clearly a design oversight by the architect, posing a risk of accidents. Furthermore, there was no accessible pathway for individuals with disabilities or those in wheelchairs, which is another significant design flaw. In front of the resort, there was an ongoing landslide, and construction workers were busy trying to address it. This situation generated dust and unpleasant odors in the air. The only positive aspect of our stay was the staff; they were incredibly helpful and attentive. The meals they prepared were enjoyable as well. However, we felt that the overall experience did not live up to the five-star rating we had anticipated. In our stay of three nights during May 2023, we enjoyed a beautiful view from our deluxe double valley view room, especially since it was not yet the rice harvest season. The room itself was fairly comfortable but lacked basic amenities like a wardrobe, a dressing table lamp, and a television. The close proximity to the road made for a noisy environment, especially when vehicles passed by. There were too many steep steps, making it difficult for elderly guests to stay here comfortably. Additionally, several of the steps were too small and could easily cause slips and falls. Access for wheelchairs and disabled individuals was non-existent. A silver lining was the staff, who were always cheerful and eager to assist, and the food was tasty, although the napkins provided were quite old, faded, and frayed, which raised concerns about cleanliness. P.S.: To reach the dining area, guests had to walk past a restroom area that was awkwardly designed, exposing all the toilets. The overall design had far too many flaws!

Có quá nhiều bậc thang và dốc, nếu là người già thì sẽ không thể ở được. Một số bậc thang quá nhỏ có thể gây trượt té. Không có đường cho xe lăn và người tàn tật. Chỉ có một điều an ủi là nhân viên rất nhiệt tình vui vẻ, và bếp nấu ăn ngon dù khăn ăn rất cũ, bạc màu và sờn. Hy vọng là được giặt sạch. P/s: Đường đến phòng ăn phải đi ngang qua khu vệ sinh thiết kế để lộ hết các bàn cầu. Bản thiết kế có quá nhiều lỗi!

I booked a standard room for two people in early November, costing around 2 million VNĐ for a night. This hotel is approximately a 20-minute motorbike ride from the center of Sapa, which makes it a great spot for exploring the Ta Van area, the highlight of Sapa at this moment. The room was spacious and clean, though I noticed the floor was a bit wet. My room featured a balcony with a beautiful morning view. You can enjoy a walking tour around the hotel grounds. Trust me, you will absolutely love this place. Although I might not return to Sapa, the feelings I experienced while strolling around this area are truly invaluable.

Tôi đã đặt một phòng thường cho 2 người vào đầu tháng 11. Giá khoảng 2 triệu VNĐ cho một đêm. Khách sạn này cách trung tâm Sapa khoảng 20 phút đi xe máy, nhưng rất thuận lợi để khám phá khu vực Tà Vàn, nơi đẹp nhất Sapa hiện tại. Phòng rất rộng rãi và sạch sẽ, nhưng sàn hơi ướt. Phòng của tôi có ban công với tầm nhìn tuyệt đẹp vào buổi sáng. Các bạn có thể đi dạo quanh khu vực khách sạn. Tin tôi đi, bạn sẽ yêu nơi này. Có thể tôi sẽ không bao giờ trở lại Sapa, nhưng cảm giác khi dạo quanh khu vực này thật vô giá.

I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the overall setting of the place, and the service was exceptional. The staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful. As a strict vegetarian, I was pleased with the ample food options provided 😊😊

My experience at The Mong was incredibly disappointing right from the beginning. When I called directly to book a room and transferred the deposit, followed by contacting The Mong Village Resort & Spa on Facebook, I never received a confirmation. When I called back, they said they were having dinner. Upon arriving to check in and heading out for dinner ourselves in the evening, there was no light bulb outside our room door to identify the room number. The path to the lower floor had no electricity, and the slippery road caused my father to fall. The room door wouldn't open, and there was no power to check the lock. Overall, the quality of our stay at The Mong did not match the amount of money we spent.
